PSYCHEDELIC EDUCATION PROGRAM
access to knowledge
MAPS' Psychedelic Education Program provides access to knowledge about the history, methodology, and potential applications of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy not available through conventional educational channels. The Psychedelic Education Program is taught by leading experts in psychedelic science, psychedelic therapy, and psychedelic culture.
Whether you're:
- interested in eventually becoming a licensed psychedelic therapist
- applying insights from psychedelic therapy to your existing licensed practice
- connecting with others with similar interests
- or even if you're just curious
the Psychedelic Education Program will give you tools to be an engaged member of the growing psychedelic research community.
access to training
Participate in one of our workshops to enhance your knowledge of the principles and practice of psychedelic therapy.
Participation in the Psychedelic Education Program demonstrates your commitment to psychedelic education and subject-specific knowledge about psychedelics and psychedelic therapy.
Once MDMA is approved for use as a prescription medicine, participants will also have enhanced eligibility for work in the field of psychedelic research and therapy. Interested participants may also be eligible to work with MAPS on a Phase 3 clinical trial of MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for PTSD.
Professional credit (Continuing Education/Continuing Medical Education) will be available in some workshops and seminars for qualifying medical practitioners. However, participation in the Psychedelic Education Program does not legally qualify you to work as a psychedelic therapist.
Some (but not all) of those who participate in the Psychedelic Education Program may be invited for additional training in our psychedelic therapist training study. Enrollment in this study is currently limited to individuals already involved in our MDMA-assisted psychotherapy research projects.
access to healing
As our research program expands to move ever closer towards approval of psychedelics as legal treatments, there will be more need for therapists trained in MAPS' approach to MDMA-assisted psychotherapy than ever before. Phase 3 of MAPS' research program—involving scores of therapists and over a dozen studies in multiple countries—will begin in 2015.
With research, training, dedication, and your participation, we can bring safe and effective psychedelic healing to those who need it most.
Join us for Psychedelic Education Program workshops and lectures at future events and be part of the promising field of psychedelic therapy.
