Re: MAPS: Anybody up for some MDMA neurotoxicity tests on humans?

It would be possible to supply those involved in the tests with home
ecstasy testing kits. The more advanced version of these kits is able
to distinguish MDMA from MDA. However, it cannot screen against
the addition of other substances to a pill which containts MDxA.

Another option is to ask the users to lab test their pills through one of
several services (dancesafe or erowid/ecstasydata.org) before taking
their pills.

I agree with the original poster that since there are so many recreational
users out there, it would be great to get some actual data from their use.
Up to the point, where I don't think it would matter whether the fake
MDMA were in the data. What would be interesting is to see the
typical user damage being done.

In addition, it would be great to see some results from people who are
engaging in harm reduction practices, such as the use of antioxidants,
5-HTP/tryptophan supplements, and prozac. The combination of
other drugs such as GHB (popular on the come-down of MDMA)
would also be especially interesting.

Now all we need is someone with access to a brain scanner.
