Re: MAPS: Help needed on AMT

AMT is moderately popular in the 'research chemical' drug user crowd.
It is cheap, lasts a long time and has effects which people liken to both
LSD and MDMA. I've tried it several times and I can say that while it
is a psychedelic, the comparison is not all that apt. At lower doses it
is speedy, at higher doses more dreamy. It feels like it is really hard on
your body. I've also heard that it decays quickly (if anyone knows if
this decay produces toxins, that would be interesting to know). And
it smells like the foulest indoley smell you can imagine.

I would also add that it is an MAOI. I had the misfortune of taking
MDMA during an AMT trip and it was a seriously intense exprience,
possibly on the threshold of overdose. Fortunately we lived to tell the
tail. It is also possible that eating any MAOI contraindicated foods
can have a negative effect (ie, tyramine headaches)

It does last an extremely long time.

AMT has been around since the 60s, but not so widely used as LSD.
I'm not sure if any real research has been done on it's toxicity.
