There is some very interesting stuff in Greenfields papers, for example:

the active THC ingredient, to that in plasma, can kill 50% of neurons in
the hippocampus, (an area related to memory), within 6 days.

I am beginning to doubt her sanity. I had read that assertion before,
Melanie Phillips mentioned it in one of her tirades in the Times, but I
thought it must be a misquote, anyway, it seems the distinguished professor
seriously holds  that one joint kills 50% of brain memory cells within 6 hours.

Greenfield is a distinguished neuroscientist and is seriously asserting
something that is neuroscientifically equivalent to a geologist asserting
the Earth is flat.. I think that her prohibitionist crusade is a case study
in the psycopathology of fanaticism. Rather like the scientists and
professors in th USA who hold biblical creationism to be true. It would be
laughable if she wern't so influential and capable of causing great damage.
