It may be an odd thing to say, but it is not psychedelics which can be
"psychologically lethal" but the society we live in, and the psychedelic
experience considered as an ambush on someone who is not prepared to see
through the illusions of our time and the illusions of exisence in general,
certainly can prove unsettling, to say the least. This is why experienced
and wise guidance is essential for psychedelic experiences. But in the
final analysis, the true fundamental cause of a freakout is the society we
live in.

Wonder no more, please! John Marks, who wrote "Search for the Manchurian
Candidate", a most informative book about the CIA et al. research trying to
find "mind-control" drugs, says of BZ: "causes trips lasting a week or more
and which tends to induce violent behavior."
