MAPS: NIDA vs MDMA vs People magazine

As a footnote to the recent 'People' magazine discussion, I
find it hardly surprising that such obvious errors are
allowed into print when, what I assume to be the premiere
'official' drugs information bureau, NIDA, includes in its
MDMA web posting information that would certainly suggest
links between MDMA and Parkinson's:

www.nida.nih.gov/Infofax/ecstasy.html

Here the structural link between MDMA and methamphetamine
is made and the overt suggestion is that MDMA like
methamphetamine results in Parkinsonian symptoms. Whilst
the more scientifically aware would reject this irrational
link it is very easy to see how the lay reader, or even
journalists, fall victim to the misinformation that is made
available about this compound from supposedly reputable
sources.

Additionally and on a somewhat unconnected topic I would
be very grateful if any forum readers were to
confidential get in touch with me concerning poly drug use:
I am particularly interested in combinatory use of MDMA
with LSD, Ketamine, Ethanol, d-amphetamine and MDMA
analogues. I just need to ascertain the actual 'mechanics'
of use, i.e timing of doses ( when, relative to MDMA, the
other drugs are taken), estimates of doses consumed and
time period of polydrug use (how long or for how long were
the drugs taken together - weeks, months ...). This will
greatly assist me in planning a forthcoming investigation
concerning such use.
