Well, any psychedelic can do this.

No evidence at all of anything like this (that I know of). No MAOI
or P450 problems I know of.

True, for all psychedelics, for the small percentage of the population
who is likely to become schizophrenic at some point. Generally a
strong psychological stress is the final trigger.

I asked this question of Sasha Shulgin and David Nichols at a seminar.
They said no, from what they knew about the pharmacology of it and
related drugs, neurotoxicity or other toxicity was very unlikely.

Sure, I think any psychedelic could do this. I would guess, at comparible
doses, 2CB would be less likley to cause a psychotic break than LSD,
as it affects peripheral perception somewhat more than inner cognition,
compared with LSD/psilocybin/mescaline.

That's right, only the good-feeling and relatively safe plants and
compounds get scheduled. All the delierant solanacaea (datura,
jimson weed, mandrake, etc.) are dangerous and legal.
