MAPS: Again: new paper on acute MDMA effects on sensory information processing

Also new is a paper from our group (Vollenweider et al.) reporting a study
of acute MDMA effects on prepulse inhibition (PPI) of the startle reflex in
rats vs. humans.

The major finding is that, using comparable doses and experimental
parameters, MDMA produced opposite results on PPI in rats vs. humans: it
reduced PPI in rats, but increased it in humans. While the reason for this
difference is unclear, our results raise questions regarding the
extrapolation of animal MDMA data to humans.
