MAPS: MDMA, cannabis and memory and 5-HTP
Some things that might be of interest:
1) I'm in the process of getting hold of the article by Rodgers and
Sanders on MDMA, cannabis and memory loss that Donald Topping originally
mentioned. It hasn't been published yet, but Jacqui Rodgers is sending me a
copy. When I've got it, I'll try and make it available as an email
attachment.
2) Some weeks ago, I mentioned a short article about the possible
dangers of 5-HTP preloading in Mixmag. Well, I've found the article again.
Here's the passage that interested me:
"One leading British neurologist, Prof. Curzon, goes further. He
believes supplementing ecstasy with 5-HTP could be dangerous. "The dangers
would be pretty unpredictable. Ecstasy has a wide range of effects and some
might be increased by 5-HTP".
Is this pure speculation? Unfortunately, there is no further info on
Prof. Curzon in the article.
Also, all of you who wanted a copy of my dissertation: I'm a little
busy - finals in three weeks! - so it might be little while before i get
it sorted out.
cheers
luke
