Re: MAPS: Hallucinogen activity at 5HT-2C receptors
"Morning Glory" is well-known as a plant whose seeds contain LSA and which have
been used for psychedelic purposes. However while searching for information to
aid me in identifying the plant, I have become quite confused. I have found
references to rivea corymbosa, convolvulus, ipomoea and ololiuqi. I also have
photographs of plants with almost identical flowers but leaves of distinctly
different shapes (one heart-shaped and the other with five lobes). I would be
grateful for any clarification that members of the forum might be able to offer.
To confuse matters even further, I have discovered a climbing plant here in Hong
Kong that again has a very similar flower but yet another leaf shape
(reminiscentof a large cannabis leaf with five leaflets).
I can send images of all three to anyone interested in helping me solve this
puzzle.
