I believe mescaline is present at about 6% wet weight of peyote; 100 mg
peyote contains 6 mg mescaline (free base) so about 8-9 g wet peyote would
contain 500 mg free base mescaline.  When people talk about mescaline as a
crystal substance, it is *not* the free base but it is a salt, usually the
hydrochloride or hemisulfate.  500 mg mescaline hydrochloride equals
roughly 414 mg free base; 500 mg mescaline hemisulfate is about 318 mg free
base mescaline.
