MAPS: Query: MPD and dissociative anaesthetics
in my psychology course today i learned about MPD (multiple
personality disorder). supposedly, these people have different
vitals (eg heart rate, blood pressure, etc) and sometimes can even
write with different hands with the different personalities.
i was told that the personalities only exist one at a time ... in
other words, two can't be "out" at the same time.
what would happen to these people (if anything) when given a
dissociative (like ketamine or pcp)? since they're naturally
dissociative i wonder about this ... could this be a cure ... or at
least a treatment?
thanx in advance
