Media > Psychedelic Drugs: Their Role in Legitimately Treating Psychiatric Conditions

By: Burt Cohen and Phil Wolfson, M.D.

The Burt Cohen Show on WSCA Radio

On March 22, 2011, Burt Cohen interviewed Phil Wolfson, M.D., a San Francisco Bay Area psychiatrist who argues that psychedelics can be powerful tools for personal and spiritual healing and transformation. With the recent death of LSD pioneer Owsley Stanley, Wolfson discusses how psychedelics came to be feared and vilified in the wake of the 1960s, and how they are once again being accepted as valuable medical treatments. He also discusses the connection between the use of psychedelic for visionary and artistic work on one hand, and for therapeutic purposes on the other.
