2nd International Conference of the European College for the Study of Consciousness (ECSC)

INTRODUCTION

The European College for the Study of Consciousness (ECSC), which was founded in 1985, is a multidisciplinary forum for the advancement of research and for the exchange of experience in the field of altered states of consciousness, elicited by psychological triggers or psychoactive substances. The spectrum of scientific disciplines extendes from chemistry and psychopharmacology across psychology and psychotherapy to medical anthropology, cultural anthropology and other human sciences.

The success of the 1st Conference of the ECSC in 1992 in Gottingen propted us to continue our interdisciplinary dialogue. We are happy to invite you to the 2nd congress "Worlds of Consciousness" in the university city of Heidelberg with its longstanding tradition. The program again extends beyond the conventional scientific exchange and offers the opporunity to become acquainted with various domains of consciousness and perception.

We provide simultaneous translation (German / English) in plenary sessions and some symposia. A German version of the program is available from EUROKONGRESS. (see registration form)
